Singing Pitch Software Hailed as Key to Winning American Idol
Millions of viewers dream of being on American Idol and winning the coveted recording and touring prizes. Tens of thousands will stand in line to audition with less than one hundred making the semi final cuts. The biggest challenge for most contestants will be their singing pitch. Not a single episode has passed without judges critiquing a performer on their pitch problem. Those who have strong pitch are among the luckiest, but this coming year singing pitch software may be hailed as the key to winning.
Over the past few years researchers have learned that providing immediate visual feedback to vocalists will rapidly improve their pitch. Even better, with regular short training sessions with visual feedback, singers keep their improved pitch for extended periods of time. For example, if a singer uses pitch software and five to ten minutes, they will notice immediate improvement that might last for a few minutes or hours. If they used the software for an hour one night, the next morning they may discover that most of their pitch errors are still gone. After a couple of weeks of daily training the results last for a week or more. For best results, practice ten minutes a day, three times a week. The good part is that these pitch software exercises can be integrated with your regular voice training program, so there’s no increased time requirement.
